India has a growing trend towards adventure bikes and the top two mid-budget contenders for adventure bikes in India are- Yezdi Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The bikes do have a bit of similarity and also notable differences. In this article, we will let you know the details of the bikes and the comparative differences between both of them. The Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC, 411cc engine. Whereas the Yezdi Adventure has a 334cc engine which constitutes a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. If we compare the fuel efficiency then SOHC is more fuel efficient and Royal Enfield is more efficient than the Yezdi Adventure.
Royal Enfield Himalayan can generate a peak power of 24.31PS and the Yezdi can take the power output to 30.2PS. The Himalayan is connected to a 5-speed gearbox and the Yezdi is connected to a 6-speed gearbox. It must also be noted that the Yezdi gets buzzier than the Himalayan after a certain speed point.
Both the bikes have almost the same design. Also, the bikes have Bluetooth connectivity and a navigation system. The bikes have LED units but it is to be noted that the Royal Enfield Himalayan has better LED performance than the Yezdi Adventure.
The bikes have a similar frame and the kerb weight has no major difference. However, you can easily differentiate between the two bikes once you ride them. The Himalayan has a thicker handle and you will experience the 200kg bike while riding it. But the handling is better in the Yezdi Adventure and the bike gives a lighter feel on the hands.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan has 6 variants for the Indian market- Gravel grey, Pine green, Dune Brown, Granite black, and Glacier blue. The base color variant starts at Rs. 2,15,900 and the top model is tagged at Rs. 2,28,490.
The Yezdi Adventure has three editions for the Indian market, Staring at Rs.2.15 lakhs is the Adventure Matte-Slick Silver, and the top edition, which is the Mambo Black is available at Rs.2.19 lakhs, the top variant- Yezdi Adventure Gloss is tagged at Rs.2.19 lakhs.
